What I would do to be in Houston this weekend.
Aside from all the fanfare and craziness that is the All-Star Weekend, Premium Shoe Cleaner manufacturer, Jason Markk, is hosting a one day pop-up shop at Premium Goods in Houston this Saturday, February 16th, beginning at 2 pm. The pop-up shop coincides with Jason Markk’s “Purp Wings” poster and t-shirt release, the first of three designs from the “Retro Purp” series.
“With our Retro Purp series, we’ve taken three iconic sports posters and our mascot, Purp Norris, and had a little fun”, says Jason. ”Purp Wings” is a play on the infamous Michael Jordan “Wings” poster. Instead of palming a basketball like in the original, we have Purp with bowl and brush in hand. I used to have the original “Wings” poster hanging on my bedroom wall growing up, so it was cool to reinterpret it and add in a fun twist.”
The “Purp Wings” poster and tee will release in the Jason Markk online shop and in-store at Premium Goods (HOU) this Saturday, 2/16/2013. The tees sold at Premium Goods will come in an exclusive black color way and will also have both Jason Markk and Premium Goods logos printed on the back of the tee. To further celebrate the “Purp Wings” release and pop-up shop, as well as to commemorate this weekend’s NBA All-Star Weekend in Houston, limited edition mini basketballs will be given away free with purchase of a poster and tee (while supplies last).
Additional festivities will include a Jason Markk shoe cleaning booth, music by DJ Elroy Boogie, drinks courtesy of Deep Eddy’s Vodka, and a special appearance by the man of the hour, Purp Norris.
The “Purp Wings” tee will retail for $28 and the poster for $15. Premium Goods is located at 2416 Times Blvd, Houston, TX 77005.
