Last weekend, Premium Shoe Cleaner manufacturer, Jason Markk, released their most recent collaboration with London-based retailer, Footpatrol in the form of two limited edition sneaker cleaning kits.
“Working with Footpatrol was an honor and an absolute pleasure” says Jason. ”We worked closely with the FP team to create two kits – the real wood crate style kit is for friends & family and was limited to 50 pieces, and the mini sneaker box style kit is limited to 1000 pieces.” To create the mini wood crate box, JM & FP enlisted the help of Brooklyn-based manufacturer, Good Wood NYC. ”The guys from Good Wood are good friends of mine” says Jason. ”When we thought to do a real wood box, Good Wood was a no brainer. Their craftsmanship is second to none and they absolutely murdered it!”
The mini crate box is handcrafted from real wood and was treated to mimic the actual recycled scaffold boards which blanket FP’s shop interior from floor to ceiling. The amber colored 4 oz. glass bottle resembles a classic poison bottle complete with glass dropper applicator. The co-branded bottle label sports a rich orange hue with vintage type. The handles of both the Standard and Premium Brushes are laser-etched with “Jason Markk In Assoc. with Footpatrol” in the same vintage type font that is used throughout. Also included is a plush, white co-branded microfiber towel. The individually numbered boxes were gifted to friends & family and are not available for sale.
The weathered, reclaimed wood design and FP’s classic poison theme continue throughout the interior/exterior of the mini sneaker box. The kit contains a co-branded 4 oz. bottle and a Premium Brush. The dark walnut wood handle of the brush is laser-etched with “Jason Markk In Assoc. with Footpatrol” in the same vintage type font that is used throughout both kits. The FP gas mask atop the lid is inset in a black foil which pops nicely against the matte base. The same black foil is used subtly in and around the mini sneaker box.
